A note from the Chairman….

One of the greatest privileges I have had in my ministry is working with our founder, Kathy Cardwell, our dedicated board members and the wonderful students and families of Christian Martial Arts Center.

I encourage you to look over our website. Look at the faces of the students we work with in our Photo Gallery,  read some of the testimonials, and check out our Mission Statement, Goals and Statement of Faith.

Perhaps a better idea would be to give us a call and schedule a time to come in and observe one of our classes, talk to our parents, ask your questions and tell us how we could be of service to you.

Peace and Blessings,

Pastor Steve

Rev. Steve Alred, Chairman

Pastor Steve is a United Methodist Minister in the North Georgia Conference serving as Pastor of Hiram First United Methodist Church, in Hiram, Georgia.  Before entering the pastoral ministry in 1999, he had a varied career in the music industry, the child care industry, and in foreign missions.

Pastor Steve spent 32 years in the piano industry; 19 years as founder and co-owner of Southern Keyboards, Inc; a major Atlanta retail piano firm, and 10 years as founder and President of MarketLink Services, Inc., a national sales, marketing, advertising and consulting firm.

Along with his wife, Diane, they have owned and operated Noah’s Ark Child Care Centers in Cobb County and Bartow County, Georgia for 27 years.  Their centers deal with a large percentage of economically disadvantaged families and children with special needs.

Pastor Steve first became interested in working with troubled children when they adopted their “middle” child at age 12.  At the time this child was residing in a residential treatment center.

Steve has served young people as a Cub Master and Scout Master with the Boy Scouts of America, as a Board Member of Murphy-Harpst Centers for Children (residential treatment centers for severely emotionally disturbed children), as a founding board member of North Cobb Christian School, Acworth, GA, and as a member of the Alumni Board of the Rome Boys Choir.

He has led and participated in mission trips to and throughout Central and South America, Poland, and Africa.  He is also the Founder and Director of Agape Missionary Ministries Outreach, a 501c3 non-profit ministry with outreach to the orphans and village of Mutambara in Zimbabwe, Africa.  Christian Martial Arts Ministries partners in this ministry.

He is a member of the National Association of Educators of Young Children, the Georgia Child Care Association, and the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church..

Pastor Steve lives in Acworth, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta, with his wife Diane.  They have three grown children and two grandchildren.  He enjoys music, travel, diving, reading, and spending time with his grandchildren.
